In December 2017 after a year in planning with another architect, the clients came to us in order to provide an alternative approach.
Our first meeting with the planners did not go well!
Haringey planners stated categorically that they would not consider a new build house in this sensitive location.
We were politely told that they did not believe that architects can design contemporary houses within the "arts and crafts idiom". The gauntlet was laid down and we set to work.
In May 2018 planning permission was granted for a 5,300ft2 new build house.
